Choosing Books for Preschoolers

Helps children work through situations such as friendship, death, same gender parents)

Multicultural / Anti-bias Book
Includes characters and situations of different kinds of people and places.  Challenges prejudices such as racism and sexism.

Print Motivation
A child has interest and excitement about books. Books reflect their lives and interests. Sees parents and others reading, books are readily available and reading is a regular activity.
