Formatting Your CSULB Master's Thesis or Doctoral Dissertation: Signature Page Template

This guide is designed to help you format your manuscript using the official University Guidelines Manual and the style guide approved by your department as part of the requirements for a graduate level degree at California State University, Long Beach.

Important Change in Procedure Due to Electronic Submission

ATTENTION: Electronic submission of manuscripts is REQUIRED beginning with Fall 2014.

An important change needed for the electronic submission process is that the signature page is no longer part of the thesis or project report manuscript. THE SIGNATURE PAGE IS CREATED AS A SEPARATE HARD COPY DOCUMENT. It must be printed and fully signed with all signatures and then delivered to the Thesis and Dissertation Office by 5 p.m. of the deadline date.

Also, be aware that not all web pages have been completely updated and may have contradictory information. Please contact the Thesis and Dissertation Office if you have any questions or concerns about the submission process.

Sample Signature Page

The image below illustrates the formatting of a typical CSULB signature page.
Each light blue 1 indicates a blank line.
The instructions in the boxes explain some of the formatting details.
Look for the words Signature Page Template in the upper left corner of this box
for a link to a formatted Microsoft Word document that can be used to create your signature page.
The template was created using the 2010 version of Word. If it is downloaded in another
version of Word or another word processing program, the formatting may be incorrect.
