Mathematics and Statistics: Find Websites

A starting point for your research

Search the Web

Two good places to look for websites on a specific topic that have been reviewed are:

Internet Public Library

Internet Scout Project

You can also use a search engine like Google .  Just be aware of what information you are getting!!!!!!!!!

Ask yourself:

  1. Who put this information here? (Might they be biased?)

  2. What expertise do they have about this topic? (Are they a Ph.D. at a university or Joe-Bob in his basement?)

  3. Why did they put it here? (Are they trying to sell something or convince me of a particular point of view?)

  4. When did they put it here? (Is the information outdated?)

Google Web Search

Math Blogs

Reading blogs is a great way to keep up with what is new and interesting on the Web.
