Engineering Thesis Workshop
Thesis Office personnel will provide a general overview of the thesis process at CSULB for Graduate students in the College of Engineering. The workshop will cover important deadlines, formatting and submission requirements for your thesis. This workshop is open to students currently enrolled in a Master's Program in the College of Engineering.

This presentation is designed to introduce you to important services and access points of the University Library. It is ideal for new students that want to know all about the library and how to navigate the library web site.
Introduction to Zotero
Zotero is a free add-on to Firefox web browser that helps researchers collect, manage and cite bibliographic sources (articles, books, websites, etc.). Learn how Zotero can be used as a collaborative and user-friendly alternative to Refworks or other bibliographic citation tools. The workshop is ideal for Faculty, Students and anyone interested in managing citations.
Human Sexuality and Sex Education
This workshop will cover the steps to find scholarly/professional journal articles on human sexuality topics and how to get help citing your sources in APA style in 30 minutes; be on time. It is ideal for students who need research assistance with HSC 425I assignment(s).
Making the most of CSULB Library Services
This hands-on session is designed to teach international students how to use library services available at CSULB Library. It is ideal for new students who want to know all about the library and how to navigate the library web site. Students will have an opportunity to meet with librarians, have a tour of the library, and learn about library collections and research databases.
This session is designed for international students who want to learn more about how to incorporate sources into assignments and projects. This session will combine demonstrations of electronic resources, discussions of search strategies, learn about the research process, citation styles, and plagiarism. There will be hands-on practice.
Research Paper Clinics
Both librarians and tutors from the Writer's Resource Lab (WRL) will be on hand to help you. Research assistance includes: Determining your research topic, finding books, journal articles, websites etc.,using databases, and determining the credibility of your sources. Writing assistance includes: Brainstorming your topic, developing a structure, identifying grammar problems you may have, and developing your writing process. These clinics will also help you with specific style manuals such as APA or MLA,and citation generators such as Refworks and Quickbib.
Thesis Workshop (All Majors)
Thesis Office personnel will provide a general overview of the thesis process at CSULB for Graduate students. The workshop will cover important deadlines, formatting and submission requirements for your thesis. The second portion of the workshop will cover advanced research tools for all majors. This workshop is open to students currently enrolled in a Master's Program at CSULB.
