Open Access & Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$)

Open textbooks are textbooks that have been funded, published, and licensed to be freely used, adapted, and distributed. These books have been reviewed by faculty from a variety of colleges and universities to assess their quality. These books can be downloaded for no cost, or printed at low cost. All textbooks are either used at multiple higher education institutions; or affiliated with an institution, scholarly society, or professional organization.

This is a is a multi-institutional collaborative venture to develop the next generation of open-access textbooks to improve STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) at all levels of higher learning.

An Open Text for students enrolled in college-level courses that require writing and research.

Openly Available Sources Integrated Search (OASIS) , developed at SUNY Geneseo, searches more than 155,000+ records from 52 different sources that have been carefully selected in collaboration with SUNY OER Services. It allows you to limit search results by license, type, subject, source, and reviews available

Open Book Publishers publishes academic texts in hardback, paperback, pdf and ebook editions, but they also include a free online edition that can be read via their website, downloaded, reused or embedded anywhere
