Locating K-12 Textbooks

CSULB Library maintains a collection of textbooks covering a variety of subjects taught in grades K-12. Textbooks are selected from the most current California State Textbook Adoption list. The first priority is LBUSD. Second priority is ABC Unified, Downey, Norwalk and Torrance. All K-12 textbooks are located in the Children's Collection on the 2nd floor, Room 200.

How can I find K-12 textbooks in a given subject area?

  • Start your search at the University Libraries home page
  • Click on OneSearch
  • Use keyword searches to find textbooks in specific subject areas
    • On the 1st box, type the subject field e.g., social studies, mathematics, language arts
    • On 2nd box, type “textbook” AND ("elementary" OR "secondary")

**  Grade levels will often be included in the note field and on the spine of the textbook

*** Teacher's Edition (good for lesson plans) with be often included in the note field or next to title in the record
