Welcome!
This guide is designed to provide a starting point for research in Chemistry & Biochemistry using the CSULB University Library resources; either those which CSULB provides, or those that are freely available on the Internet.
In addition to CAS SciFinder, we now subscribe to Reaxys. Reaxys is a web-based search and retrieval system for chemical compounds, bibliographic data and chemical reactions. Originally, Reaxys data came from the following sources: Beilstein Handbook of Organic Chemistry; Gmelin Handbook of Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry (including the corresponding CrossFire database); and the Patent Chemistry Database.
For several video tutorials to get you started with Reaxys, visit this link:

We will continually update this research guide. Please provide any suggestions in the box on the lower left of this page.
