Welcome!

This guide is designed to provide a starting point for research in Chemistry & Biochemistry using the CSULB University Library resources.  We will continually update this research guide.  Please provide any suggestions in the box on the lower left of this page.

In addition to CAS SciFinder, we subscribe to Reaxys. Reaxys is a web-based search and retrieval system for chemical compounds, bibliographic data and chemical reactions. Originally, Reaxys data came from the following sources: Beilstein Handbook of Organic Chemistry; Gmelin Handbook of Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry (including the corresponding CrossFire database); and the Patent Chemistry Database.
