Finding Books in OneSearch (Library Catalog)

OneSearch is the CSULB library catalog. Use OneSearch to find books, eBooks, CD's, DVD's, streaming media, journal titles and other material available in the CSULB and the other CSU Libraries. If you find a physical item not available at CSULB, you can request it via CSU+ and Link+

The major digital book collections for engineering are Safari, Books 24 x7 and Knovel. See eBooks for more information. The individual titles from these collections are also included in OneSearch.

We also have access to many government publications via OneSearch; many are freely available on the Internet. Government publications are important for some engineering disciplines.

eBook Collection from EBSCO This link opens in a new window Full-text, searchable electronic books. Books can only be read online. However, mindful of copyright laws, texts may be printed out or copied in part using browser functions. Coverage: Most books are pre-2003. Also provides access to 3,500 older, "public domain" works that may be several hundred years old.
O'Reilly Learning This link opens in a new window O'Reilly Learning is a collection of over 2000 full text, searchable e-books from O' Reilly, Que, Sams, Addison-Wesley, Prentice Hall and Peachpit Press covering computing, databases, operating systems, programming, XML, Java and web design, as well as a broad range of business topics. Covers: Current year plus two previous calendar years. Formerly called Safari Tech Books Online.
