BIOL Biological Sciences Subject Guide

A guide for finding biology information to support your academic research and coursework

Digital Rights Management (DRM) refers to rules media vendors put on a user's ability to save, share, or otherwise copy items from their media collections.  DRM may also include a limit on the number of users who can access the items simultaneously.  Each media collection has different DRM rules, look to their help pages to find out.

To provide CSULB students access to these titles, links to individual media items must be routed via the library's server.

To link to a whole library media collection (e.g. Naxos):

  1. Find the item in OneSearch
  2. Click the title or the 3 dots (ellipsis) to show action options
  3. Under Send to select PERMALINK then copy the link location
  4. Paste the link in Canvas

To use individual items from collections, the process will differ with which collection you are using, see the other boxes on this page for specific instructions, or contact your librarian.
