CSULB Internships for Library School Students: Application Process

Deadline for Applications

All internship positions for the 2023-2024 academic year have been filled.

Application materials for FALL 2024 will be accepted beginning April 1, 2024.

Application Materials

To apply to intern at the CSULB Library, please send the following:

  1. A Cover letter (maximum 1 page).
     
  2. Resume (maximum 1 page).
     
  3. One letter of reference (professional, not personal).
     
  4. Personal statement that addresses why you wish to intern in an academic library setting, and specifically, why you would like to intern at the CSULB University Library (maximum 2 pages).

The Process

The Internship Coordinator will work with a member of Library Administration to screen applicants based on qualifications and the library’s operational needs.

Finalists will be invited to interview with the Internship Coordinator and a member of Library Administration or another member of the Library Faculty.

One or more successful intern applicants will be selected and notified.
