Statistics and Data Sets: Start

Guide for finding statistical numbers, graphics and data sets.

NOTE the current federal government administration has taken lots of federal data down. Librarians are working to save the data, check these sources or see the blog with current information. The data provided in the tabs from the following agencies is most likely not available. These agencies' data have been shut down including any links within data.gov:

  • CDC (Center for Disease Control) - health data, site shut down.
  • DOE (Department of Education) - any data that deals with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
  • FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) - banking data.
  • Homeland Security Database and website - 2/26/2025 shut down.
  • NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) - climate/environment change data.
  • NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) - NECI - climate/environment change data.
  • USAID (United States Agency for International Development) - site shut down.

Please contact Kelly Janousek, kelly.janousek@csulb.edu to see what data was saved elsewhere.
