Finding Maps in Google

Here are some tips for finding maps in Google searches:

To find government issued maps use extension site:gov

To find maps from U.S. colleges or universities, use extension site:edu

To find maps from international agencies (UN, NATO, etc) type in site:int

To find maps from non-profit organizations (museums, associations, private institutes) enter site:org

To find maps coming from websites in other nations, enter two letter country code extension (Russia is site:ru)

[maps discussing religion that come from Irish sites] 
 
After you have looked through some results, try clicking on the Google Images search option. You may find maps within websites.
